The two most common boat insurance options are Comprehensive and Third Party Property Damage:

• Comprehensive provides you with cover for the loss or damage to your vessel, motor, trailer, and accessories or equipment regardless of whether you were at fault or not. Comprehensive cover also includes Liability cover for damages that you cause to a third party and their property, anywhere in Australia.
• Third Party Property Damage provides you with Liability cover for damage that you cause to a third party and their property, anywhere in Australia. This type of insurance does not cover loss or damage to your own vessel or trailer.

• Waterskiing or Aquaplaning Liability
• Commercial/Charter Skipper
• Sail Racing
• Swing Mooring (mooring location dependant)
